Memoria RAM: conflicto de latencias

Hola amigos, a ver si me pueden ayudar con esto...
Estando laburando (con cualquier prog.) bajo Windows XP (SP2) me sale el siguiente error con pantalla azul de por medio: BAD_POOL_CALLER.
Me juego la cabeza que este problema es causado por unas de las memorias RAM.
Paso a explicar el porque: durante casi 2 años funcionaron perfecto. (Tengo 2 dimm de 256 MB de 400 MHZ, una generica (la primera que tuve) y otra marca Kingston.
El tema es que cuando añadi los 256 MB (marca Kingston) empecé a tener errores similares a los de ahora porque la Kingston tenia una latencia de 3, y mi mother (o quizas el otro dimm) ''necesitan'' que sea de 2.5... o sea, mas rápida.
¿Que hice? fui a la BIOS y cambié la config. de la memoria de 3 a 2.5... y bueh, ¡magia! durante los ''famosos dos años'' que antes dije NO ME MOLESTARON PARA NADA, pero ahora resurgieron nuevamente.

Que puedo hacer? Porque lo que Intento evitar hacer es sacar la Kingston, que en teoria causa el problema por tener de latencia 3 y no 2.5 como la otra.

1 - type of pool violation the caller is guilty of.

8 - parameter 2 is the IRQL allocating at, parameter 3 is the pool type
9 - parameter 2 is the IRQL freeing at, parameter 3 is the pool type

Prueba de borrar bien los drivers antiguos e instala unos nuevos.

Es que ese error q nombre es uno de los cuantos q me aparecen.
Tengo errores en el firefox.exe, winamp.exe, etc.
No se como setear la memoria ram desde la BIOS para solucionar esto.
