Cuál es la definición que ustedes tienen del término Hacker??

Siendo víctima de malos entendidos he puesto este tema, la gente, muchas veces confundida, piensa que el termino hacker se utiliza para denominar a cualquier miserable bastardo que roba información de PC´s, creadores de virus, infectar ordenadores, estafadores y muchas cosas más ahora, que pasaria si les dijera que si no fuera por los hackers no hubiera existido internet?? Claro, ellos crearon internet, ademas del sistema operativo UNIX y un montón de cosas más.

Los hackers resuelven problemas y construyen cosas, y creen en la libertad y la ayuda voluntaria mutua.

NO CONFUNDAMOS EL TERMINO "HACKER" CON EL TÉRMINO "CRACKER"

En resumidas cuentas, los hacker crean cosas, los crackers las destruyen.

Aún piensan mal de los Hackers??

Tienes razon nosotros mismos le llamamos a todos por igual y no es cierto.

Crack:
(1) To break into a computer system. The term was coined in the mid-80s by hackers who wanted to differentiate themselves from individuals whose sole purpose is to sneak through security systems. Whereas crackers sole aim is to break into secure systems, hackers are more interested in gaining knowledge about computer systems and possibly using this knowledge for playful pranks. Although hackers still argue that there's a big difference between what they do and what crackers do, the mass media has failed to understand the distinction, so the two terms -- hack and crack -- are often used interchangeably.

Aunque SARGATANAS316 lo deja bastante clarito, estoy contigo FUN_TKD, la gente suele meter a todos en el mismo saco, o lo que es lo mismo decir que todos son iguales. Por lo tanto no pueden confundir a un pedazo de Hacker con un Cracker.
